Client Privacy

SueCo Virtual Assistance is totally committed to safeguarding the privacy of my clients. I will ensure that all confidential information provided by my clients remains confidential and I commit to safeguarding all proprietary information provided by the client, insofar as is practically possible.

I agree only to use information provided by the client for the agreed intended purpose and I give you my word that confidential information will never be given or sold to a third party, that is to say any and all information relating to the client’s organisation, business and/or intellectual property rights which might fairly be considered to be of a confidential nature. Confidential Information does not include any information that is already in the public domain or that which is disclosed to me without any obligations of confidentiality.

My privacy policy provides for any personal details shared with SueCo Virtual Assistance, either for the client or for the purpose of onward communication (e.g. contact details of self, colleagues or third party suppliers).

It is understood that I act as an agent on your behalf. As such, SueCo Virtual Assistance is not obliged to be registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) for the purposes of protecting any client data used in the execution of a client’s contract. The client should therefore be properly registered in its own right, to ensure it meets its obligations under the Data Protection Laws of the United Kingdom.

My privacy policy extends to Associates, as well as my IT support company, which may require access to my systems from time to time, as may become necessary.

Electronic copies of all client work will be kept by SueCoVPA and suitably backed up. Unless otherwise agreed, all work may be destroyed after a minimum 6-month period of inactivity. At such time, I will also dispose of any physical paperwork by means of shredding unless the client requests its return.
